BUT, ONLY A MINIMAL UPGRADE OPTION FOR USERS OF 2005 & 2004 EDITIONS) - " Quicken Willmaker Plus 2006 Estate Planning Software " is an easy-to-use handy tool for anyone who has to author a written-will and/or similar legal document. The software has a well-designed layout. It runs on any Windows operating system, which is 95 or later version. It can be installed and configured in a shortwhile. Its operational tempo is nice; and, it does not tie-up systems resources as much as other 'Quicken software' like: "Quicken Premier Personal Finance" and "Premier Home & Business" do. However, the first negative sign users of previous editions will notice in this one is that very little has changed. As a result of this, it is difficult to see any good reason why those who own either the 2004 or the 2005 versions should bother themselves with upgrading to this 'new' version. In general terms, the naked truth is that most software manufacturers, who indulge in the production of yearly 'new versions', have very little or nothing to show for the money they ask. They often play on buyers' psychology by rearranging the graphical interface of their 'old' products, and then hype them up as 'new' and 'improved'. This explains in part, why most of the recently released 'new products' have more bugs than the 'older ones', which they are supposed to be replacing. And since most of the potential buyers believe that 'new' items are always better, they fall into the buying trap. What I have mentioned does not partain only to the makers of 'Quicken' products. It includes Microsoft, Adobe, Macromedia, Norton, McAfee, Corel, and so on. But, I hinted it here because I have conclusively inferred that this newly released " Quicken Willmaker Plus 2006 Estate Planning Software " is very much like the 'old' 2005 edition, which it suppose to replace. And, the 2005 version is as well, very similar to the 2004 version: in both design and function. So, how on earth can one justify ... Before I found this book, I had been sending all new recruits to a local mortgage/real estate school that has a class teaching this same material. The cost was $97 per day. Now I just tell them to get a copy of this book. For some reason everyone thinks getting into the mortgage business is all fun and games and that everyone makes tons of money. It's not. It's hard work and you must take it seriously. I am glad the author did not sugar coat in his book. In fact, the thing I like best is that the author writes using easy to understand language. There is very little mortgage jargon to confuse people new to the business. And what there is, is explained. The author is not a tradiontal author. He is active in the industry everyday ... 2 stars (One piece of advice...avoid it - Elizabeth and Jameson Thottam) - This is lousy entry book for Real Estate professionals. Myself and my husband, Jameson Thottam (he used to work with Real Estate firms such as The Loan Page, Homestore and IndyMac Bank), have been dabbling in residential real estate and we found this book a horrible start in terms of teaching the core secrets (i.e., valuation, SEC II stat techniques, tax implications and flippying and insider trading tips of how to find/negotiate the best properties). Trust us, Elizabeth and Jameson Thottam....we've been in the business for the last two years now and would not recommend this book. -The Thottam family 5 stars (Great for Newbies) - This book is a great way for new agents to know what they are getting into. The book covers a multitude of issues that people outside of the industry don't know about including what to expect (and what not to) from your broker. There's very little detail in the book, but it's a great overview and, quite frankly, you'd be hard pressed to get all of the information about real estate into 10 books, much less one. This is a terrific book for setting your expectations in a realistic place. It covers everything from planning your career change to how to hold an open house. I'd highly recommend it for new agents just getting started or for anyone thinking about getting started in the industry. 5 stars (the best of the best!!!) - It's one of the best knitting books I have ever seen, I also own Knitting on the edge (a great book also)but this second volume is greater. Who said that seconds don't work? This volume proves there wrong.If you're a knitting fanatic like me, buy this book, you wont regreated. 5 stars (A unique and worthwhile collection) - Anyone hesitating if Nicky Epstein's second book on knitting borders is worthwhile - worry no more. As her personal intro says, "...completely new...", it is a wonderfully fresh, new addition to her first collection. And, there are many of these new edgings - this is not a skinny, part 2 type of follow up book. The format of the book is the same - clear concise swatch photos, wonderful use of yarns to highlight stitches, and a larger section on color knitting. You will be able to customize your knitting w. ease since the edging patterns details are clear and concise. The author gives a wonderful intro on texture and size as a jump start point for you. The edgings are organized in logical style categories w. a fresh idea of one, "Noveau" added - it stays true to its title. As in the first book, patterns highlighting her new edgings are included. 5 stars (What a Phenomenal Job!) - I read construction funding, prematurely perhaps, as one of my first ever real estate books - and I loved it! The book takes the reader through several once-real-life scenarios and explains the construction process step by step. I think that both ambitious beginners and more seasoned loan officers and developers would benefit from reading this book. 5 stars (MBA student) - Very interesting? book; very easy to read. As a small real estate investor I found it very helpful in understanding many of the ins and outs of real estate and financing, especially on the scale i would like to grow to. 5 stars (A first class book on Real Estate Development) - The third edition of Construction Funding by Nathan S.
