3 stars (Not totally unique -- but still helpful for the stash-stumped) - For knitters looking to clear the stash out from under the bed (to make room for-let's be honest here-more yarn), Barbara Albright has written Odd Ball Knitting. In this book, Albright provides a plethora of tips and patterns for knitters looking to do a little stash-busting. From small patterns that use just a little bit of yarn (like finger puppets or scarves or sachets) to larger projects that use different kinds of yarn to create one unique piece (like a colorful striped poncho or shawl), Albright provides plenty of solutions for stashes of every size and color palette. While many of the projects are pretty standard-projects that you can find on the pages other knitting books and magazines-Albright does something that no one else has done. She puts them together in one stash-focused book to aid the stash-stumped. She also throws in tips for storing yarn, stash-busting, and even for figuring out just how much yarn is left on a partially-used ball. The chart provided in the back of the book also allows you to choose projects based on what you've got stored behind your sofa. If your home is under siege by yarn balls of various colors and sizes and you don't feel like flipping through your collection of books and magazines to search for just the right pattern, Odd Ball Knitting will get you started on the road to stash-free living. Or at least it'll help you clear up some room for the next clearance sale at your local yarn shop. 1 stars (Waste of Money) - I was hoping to see some new and creative ways to use leftover yarn. This book does not deliver. 3 stars (Eh) - Most of these patterns can be found for free someplace on the internet. I did not find anything here that was overly creative or that really said, "Oh yea.... I could do THAT!" This would probably be something for a new knitter. ... 5 stars (Very Enjoyable) - I do enjoy my fair share of erotica -- some would say more than my fair share -- and this book has earned a proud spot on my collection shelf, right beside the best of the bunch including "Story of O" and "9 Free Secrets Of New Sensual Power" (which not only entertains but also edifies you through erotic stories.) Well done Susie! 5 stars (I loved it!!) - This is one of the better anthologies of erotica that I've read. it's got so many good stories--and sexy scenes--it's unbelievable. The stories are diverse and entertaining. I loved reading it and hope to read more. The only thing that's come close this year, is "My Dirty Thirties" erotica series, which I liked a lot, too. 5 stars (Awesomely erotic) - I've read the stories and loved them all, but my favorite one is, "It's never too late in New York," by, Nelson George. I don't want to explain too much, it's such a short story; I might tell it all in one paragraph. But I will say, I was excited to see slang writing, quoted for the characters. This was an urban story, African-American based. This story and all the others were engaging. In the story, I liked the character, Walter's personality. He had a sexy way about him. Walter mentioned to his friend Dwayne, about a girl whose nickname was Medina, a stripper he met in a club. Dwayne reminded Walter both he and him went to the movies with Medina together, in the past; he also reminded Walter of her real name. Dispite Dwayne's jealously towards Walter, in dating Medina, Walter remained cool about it all. Throughout the whole book, these hot, erotic stories were really worth reading. I recommend it. ... This starting point is intended to be more hands on then line-by-line example. I find I learn better when I have something that already works, that way I can tweak it and if I goof it up. I just reload it. This starting point was built in Ultradev 4, using the ASP 2.0 server model and VB scripting Language, with some hand coding, that I will walk you through. see site for more details. http://udextensions...
