Civilization IV Special Edition

4 stars (Great game but very unstable) - Not going to go into specifics of the game cause I think that's pretty much covered but the game is great overall, when it doeesn't crash your system. I have installed the game on 2 of my desktops and my laptop and the game crashes on all three. All three of my computers are well equipped to handle the game with updated drivers so I don't why this should happen. Thank god for the auto-save feature. 1 stars (Don't waste your money yet.) - I can't believe they shipped the game in this condition. It constantly freezes or the screen turns blue and informs you of a severe memory leak. I have heard nothing but problems from others and there has been no online help pertaining to this from firaxis or 2kgames. When the patch comes out it may fix this but wait until it does before you buy. 1 stars (Buggier than a bad case of lice.) - This game may or not be good. It crashes non stop and tech support is non existant. I build gaming computers on the side for extra $$$ trust me, my machine can handle any game I throw at it... except this one. Do yourself a favor and do not buy this game untill they release some patches to fix the serious issues this game has. ...

Sid Meier-s Civilization IV

1 stars (Crashes at the worst time) - Let me add my voice to the multitude and say this game crashes at the worst time. The frequency of crashes seems to be related to the size of the world and the number of units you have going at once, so just when the game is starting to get interesting with lots of armies moving around, it crashes to the desktop in spectacular fashion. I'm fed up with game developers pushing crap out that doesn't work. Just by the number of people complaining about this you can tell this is something that should have been caught in testing. It takes all the fun out when you play a map for two hours and have it bomb out. 1 stars (Really Not Tested) - Adding to the reviews below, I have been unable, with four days of trying, twelve uninstalls, and 5 contacts with Tech Support, to get the program to even load. It is not graphics; the manufacturer has simply thrown ideas out with no clue as to the cause. Athlon 2700, ATI Radeon 9200, Meets all specs for game. DO NOT BUY THIS until they fix these issues!!!!!!!! 1 stars (Game does not work. Wait 3 months and buy it for 29.99) - Overall the game is fun, but you cannot play it in Multiplayer, and the during a long game it will dump on you. Its just not ready and I wish I read the reviews before I bought it. Yes its fun but unplayable! I would wait 3 months and buy it for 29.99 if they fix it. ...

XB Call of Cthulhu- Dark Corners of the Earth

4 stars (Something wicked this way comes. . .) - There's something brilliantly terrifying about an evil that is so powerful that mankind ultimately stands no chance of defeating it, and yet so sly and so subtle that it could walk up to you and shake your hand without you being any the wiser. Welcome to the Cthullu mythos. H.P. Lovecraft's seminal world of myth and madness has been criminally underused, especially in the video game industry. Aside from echoes of his style found in horror titles like Silent Hill or (even moreso) Eternal Darkness, most of the survival horror genre tends to toward the more plebian and campy nature of the Resident Evil games. However, Cthullu gurus now finally have a game straight from the source to sate their horror appetite with Call of Cthullu: Dark Corners of the Earth. And hey, it's actually pretty darn good too. Dark Corners of the Earth is primarily a first-person action/adventure game, mixing mind-bendingly fun puzzles, spine tingling suspense/horror, and skin-crawling action for a unique and (if it's your bad) very entertaining gaming experience. The story, an adaptation of Lovecraft's The Shadow Over Insmouth, is a very well-paced, well-presented, and overall engrossing tale of one man's struggle against terror and insanity. Speaking of which, insanity has visible effects in the game, much like Eternal Darkness's Sanity Meter. The more horrifying things you witness, the more slippery your grasp on reality becomes. Which will make you start physically looking over your shoulder when the creepy really starts to get to you, mostly because this game's middle name is "immersion." The first-person perspective puts you in the middle of everything, providing the kind of constant "in the world" feel that games like Half-Life 2 excel at. However, Dark Corners goes the extra mile, providing a "HUDless" screen, further pushing the player into the game's whispering and macabre world. Along with the game's stylized graphics (which do a ...
